A Bradham Family History and Genealogy represents the first family history and genealogy of its kind to be published on the Bradham surname. It documents the earliest Bradham found in this country in 1665 and others who were here before the Revolution.

The book's emphasis is on Bradham families who settled in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Illinois and Indiana. This genealogy contains dozens of interesting narratives and biographical sketches of Bradham ancestors born between 1750 and 1900, together with information from official records of Revolutionary, Spanish American and Civil War veterans, land grants, and wills.

It is an easy to read family history with genealogies presented in a simplified format. Over 200 photographs, in addition to old maps and illustrations reproduced from official records, are included in this work which documents the source materials, including all Federal, State and County records cited. A complete index of nearly 10,000 names makes for easy reference.

The chronologies of the South Carolina Bradham families, especially those from Clarendon, Charleston, Lee, Williamsburg and Sumter Counties, as well as many distinguished low-country allied families have been brought forward to present-day descendants.

Some of the surnames of the descending families are: Allen, Benbow, Broadway, Brogdon, Brock, Burgess, Bryant, Coker, Corbett, Coskrey, Creecy, Gibson, Hodge, Holladay, Jayroe, Johnson, Jones, Kelly, Lanier, Lavender, Lewis, Mathis, McKnight, Pack, Player, Ragin, Rich, Ridgill, Rivers, Rodgers, Stukes, Tomlinson and many more.

A complete record of U.S. Census enumerations for S.C. Bradham families for the years 1790 through 1910 is contained in the Appendix. U.S. Census records for other Bradham families are in the appropriate chapters.

A Bradham Family History and Genealogy, presented in a skillful and readable fashion, weaves together historical and genealogical data, while at the same time constituting a definitive reference to the exhaustive Bradham research undertaken by the author.
