This latest book on Babb Families, dated 2000, is based primarily on descendants of immigrant Phillip Babb who arrived on the Isles of Shoals off the coast of NH/ME/MA by 1652 as fishing master. He was one of five sea-going sons of mariner Thomas Babb of Middlesex, England, whose will is recorded in 1620 and shows in the Appendix with others. Phillip had sons William, Thomas, Phillip, Sampson and Peter and their descendants are scattered from region to region as they searched for good land and served in the military. There were also other early Babb immigrants who arrived in Maryland, eastern Virginia and North Carolina, plus some Bavarian Babb/Bap families who came to Easton, PA. There are 3 detailed indexes to over 4000 Babb names keyed to birth dates, as well as indexes of non Babb names and to locations.
