This family history traces Annie's Beauchamp ancestry, beginning with the progenitor Edmund, son of John Beauchamp of London, and continues to include her descendants to date. It also traces the lineage of the allied families whose children married into the Beauchamp family, including Adams, Bosman, Crewe, Dennis, Dixon, Fontaine, Lanier, Leftwich, McCall, Parker, Taylor, Truitt, Turner, Washington, Williams and Wise. Four generations on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia are represented, migration to Georgia after the Revolution, the Civil War and another migration to Texas. It is, like the history of many American families, a portrayal of ordinary people constantly striving for a better life for themselves and their families.

The book is organized into five sections. Part I is Annie's own story - her childhood, the move to Indian Territory, her marriage to Lee Bunyard and the raising of their fourteen children. Included are descriptions of her life and interests, excerpts from her diaries and anecdotes from family members, in addition to many memories of the author. Part II is about her ancestors the Beauchamps, southern planters, and Part III traces the allied families. Part IV lists Annie's descendants, and Part V traces other related Beauchamp descendants.

Included in the 321 pages are 30 photographs, several maps, many charts and other illustrations. Ample footnootes provide references for the data. The book is printed on 60-lb. acid-free paper for longevity, and has a red cloth hard cover embossed in gold.
