This is the story of the Smith's in Edinburgh, Scotland. First told by their granddaughter, Mary Jane Smith and then verified by research and also parish records. It starts from their journey in the sailing vessel to America in 1785 and their final settlement in Montgomery County, NY. Their four sons are in the records of that county. There are known descendants into the eighth generation in many different states.
