This history and genealogy of the Amos Wheeler Family has been compiled by a group of people over the past ten years. This book predates the Revolutionary War and records information through 1996, covering a period of about 225 years.

Amos Wheeler, born in Maryland, migrated to North Carolina and later to Gilmer County, Georgia. Amos married Sarah Snow. Some of his children remained in North Carolina, some remained in Georgia, while others migrated to Alabama and Tennessee. Today descendants of Amos Wheeler can be found in at least 43 of the 50 states.
