Whitfield begins in the Parish of Whitfield in year 1150 in England. On the 1620 ship passage records to America is found the first Whitfield immigrant. Many in the 1600s named Whitfield arrived. They were in the thirteen colonies but when the western land movement began they went as far west as the shores of California. Whitfields filled the southeastern states and the southern state lands. In the 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s they filled the northern states.
