The town of Bellevue was surveyed and laid out in 1835, but it wasn't until January 1851 that the town was incorporated.

This pictorial history covers the town from its establishment until present day. Photographs have been gathered from many many sources by historian Bill Oddo who has single-handedly kept Bellevue's history alive.

This book covers the most important facts in connection with the early settlement of this place as well as a brief description of Bellevue as it is. We wish to demonstrate how rapidly the well directed enterprise of her merchants, manufacturers and working men has placed Bellevue in the front rank of commercial and manufacturing villages in Northern Ohio. While the purpose is to keep as nearly as possible within the limits of these pages, there are events of interest and importance so closely connected with the rise and progress of Bellevue, that to defer mentioned them would render this work comparatively complete.

Every one who has ties to Bellevue Ohio both past and present should have a copy of this book to look at and remind them of the tremendous work and sacrifice made by their forefathers to get them to where they are today.
